Discovery, Inc.-owned lifestyle network TLC is launching a nine-part docuseries that aims to explore the impact that gender transition has on transgender people and those closest to them.

Lost In Transition will document the lives of four couples whose husbands are undergoing gender transformation. Told from the wives’ point of view, each hour-long episode of the Tremendous! Entertainment-made series will examine the confusion, anger, disappointment and uncertainty surrounding their decision.

In each relationship, the wife has recently found out that her husband has grappled with his gender identity for years and has made the decision to become the woman he has always felt like inside.

Viewers will witness the couples’ journeys as they share the news with family and friends, take steps forward with the husbands’ transition processes, and figure out how to best evolve their marriages.

Tremendous!’s Colleen Needles Steward, Shannon Keenan Demers and Ronak Kordestani  serve as executive producers alongside TLC’s John Hein, and  EP and showrunner Chaney Moon.

Lost In Transition premieres May 20 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on TLC.

Tremendous! is repped by APA Agency.
