The upcoming 10th anniversary edition of Realscreen West will feature a one-on-one keynote conversation with Banijay Group CEO Marco Bassetti on Wednesday, June 6 at 10 a.m.

Marco Bassetti began his career in television in the early 1980s as an executive producer for Mondadori’s Rete Quattro, later moving to Mediaset. He subsequently created his own highly successful production companies in Italy: La Italiana Produzioni and Aran.

His next role was that of CEO for Pearson TV Italy. Upon leaving this position he founded Endemol Italy, working first as managing director and then president. Stepping down in 2004 in order to dedicate more time to several entrepreneurial activities in Italy and abroad, he returned to Endemol Group in 2007 as COO, eventually becoming president of the Endemol Group and subsequently named CEO. After leaving Endemol in 2012, he founded a new production company, Ambra Multimedia, and subsequently joined Banijay Group as CEO in 2013.

With leading production entities in 16 territories, Banijay Group is engaged in strategic partnerships with innovative creative talent around the world. Banijay currently has three entities in the U.S. covering all genres: Bunim/Murray Entertainment, Stephen David Entertainment and Banijay Studios North America.

At Realscreen West, Bassetti will discuss his career to date, Banijay’s moves in the unscripted arena, his thoughts on international and North American expansion for the company, and his take on the global formats industry and where it will be headed next.

Realscreen West will also feature a keynote conversation with Amazon Studios’ unscripted TV head Heather Schuster, with more content announcements to come. Realscreen West takes place at Santa Monica’s Fairmont Miramar from June 5-7. For more information, click here.
