On tap for this week’s edition of ‘Renewed and Returning’ are new seasons of series on OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network, HGTV, Food Network and ITV.

OWN premiered the fifth and final season of Welcome to Sweetie Pie’s with a sneak preview on May 1.

The series, about the trials and tribulations of running a family-operated soul food empire, will continue in its regular time slot on Saturdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT beginning May 5.

Discovery Inc.- owned HGTV kicks off a new season of Big Coat Productions’ Love It or List It featuring designer Hilary Farr and real estate expert David Visentin on May 7 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

The new crop of eight episodes will feature the duo as they help homeowners make the difficult choice to either love their existing home after Farr remodels their space or purchase a new house that Visentin finds that could better suit their needs.

Elsewhere, Food Network’s Iron Chef America returns with a fresh 10-episode season beginning May 16 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

From Triage Entertainment, and once again hosted by Alton Brown, the show pits an up-and-coming chef against an elite Iron Chef. Each week, two guest judges taste the meals prepped by the competitors and determine who wins the challenge. In the season premiere, chef Brittany Anderson, who is known as Richmond Virginia’s schnitzel queen, battles Iron Chef Alex Guarnaschelli. Antonia Lofaso and Simon Majumdar serve as judges.

Meanwhile, in the UK, Cardiff based Boomerang, part of the Twofour Group, has won a commission from ITV to produce a second series of the factual entertainment format, What Would Your Kid Do? The 7 x 60-minute episode series, hosted by comedian Jason Manford, challenges parents to guess how their children will behave in a variety of classroom challenges and real-world activities. The order from ITV also includes a 1 x 60-minute Christmas special. An air date has not yet been determined.
