British broadcaster UKTV’s entertainment channel W has commissioned its first dating show with the upcoming UKTV Original The Ultimate Matchmaker.

Produced by Brighton-based prodco Ricochet, part of Warner Bros. International Television, the 8 x 60-minute series features matchmaker and dating expert Lara Asprey who knows what her eligible clients are looking for and how to make the perfect match. The series unveils the glamorous world of high-class dating as audiences get to know Asprey, her team, and all the singles looking for “the one.”

The Ultimate Matchmaker joins W’s 2018 lineup which currently includes ‘Inside The… strand with Inside The Ambulance and the upcoming Inside The Vets; the Cherry Healey-hosted docuseries Sex, Knives and Liposuction; and a fourth season of the chat show John Bishop: In Conversation With…

Ricochet’s Emma Walsh serves as executive producer. The series is directed by Claire Egerton-Jones and produced by Sandy Watson.

The Ultimate Matchmaker was commissioned by Helen Nightingale and ordered by Richard Watsham, director of commissioning, and Steve North, genre general manager of comedy and entertainment.
