Global content company Keshet International has named Revital Basel, formerly VP of sales at Dori Media Group, to the newly created role as managing director of KI Networks.

In the new role, Basel (pictured) is tasked with managing and executing non-scripted co-developments and copros with third parties, as well as catalog pre- and post-sales, while also shepherding creative collaboration between KI’s global production hubs.

She reports to KI’s Keren Shahar, COO and president of distribution.

Keshet has production outfits in Los Angeles (Keshet Digital Studios), Hong Kong (Keshet Asia), Mexico City (Keshet MX), Munich (Tresor Produktions), London (Keshet UK) and Tel Aviv (Keshet 12).

At Dori Media Group, Basel was responsible for scouting titles for distribution and sales to the international market.

With a career in television spanning two decades, Basel has previously held a variety of senior titles at Tevet Production, Ananey Communications, Maximum Media and Dori New Media.

Basel’s appointment reinforces KI’s commitment to investing in non-scripted projects following itsĀ majority stake acquisition in Greenbird Media in March. As part of the deal, KI became the distribution partner for the indie prodcos supported by Greenbird.

“We are thrilled Revi is joining the KI team at a time when we are committed to bringing more great stories to life for global audiences,” said Shahar in a statement. “She’s well-loved and well-respected within the industry and her diverse experience and relationships will prove invaluable as we continue to grow and innovate, with particular focus on developing our non-scripted slate via creative coproductions and co-development partnerships around the world.”
