Former Viacom International Media Networks executive Magnus Kastner has been tapped to lead Endemol Shine Germany as chief executive officer.

He will join the global content producer and distributor next month, reporting to Boudewijn Beusmans, chairman of Northern Europe. In the interim, the company will continue to be led by Rainer Laux, director of reality and documentary; Ute März, CFO; and Gabi Abegg, head of strategic development.

Kastner was most recently the chief executive of eSports company Turtle Entertainment, in Los Angeles.

Previously Kastner was the CEO and EVP of Northern Europe at Viacom International Media Networks, SVP and GM at Discovery Networks Deutschland, and CEO of the Mediaagency OMD in Hamburg.
