Amazon Studios has inked a first look television deal with Oscar and Emmy Award-winning content creator Jordan Peele (Get Out) and his production company Monkeypaw Productions.

Amazon Studios will work with Monkeypaw Productions to create television content of various genres for Amazon Prime Video.

The companies are currently teaming on The Hunt, the recently greenlit Nazi-hunting dramatic series as well as the upcoming docuseries Lorena, a four-part docuseries regarding the 1993 trial of Lorena Bobbitt and events leading up to it.

Founded by Peele in 2012, Monkeypaw Productions creates projects across film, television and digital platforms. They include the 2018 Oscar-winning thriller Get Out and the television comedy series Key & Peele.

“I couldn’t be more excited about this new relationship with Amazon,” said Peele, in a statement. “They’ve been a fantastic partner to Monkeypaw over the last year because they’re committed to the same kind of fun and culturally-relevant television we are.”
