Viacom International Media Networks UK (VIMN UK) has unveiled that it will offer the free-to-air Paramount Network to audiences throughout the UK.
Launching on July 4, the channel will offer British audiences with a selection of unscripted and scripted programming and movies.
This is the latest rollout for Paramount Network – which follows the U.S. and Spain – from VIMN UK. It will be available on Freeview, Sky, BT and TalkTalk platforms.
Paramount’s programming will be scheduled and programmed by the Channel 5 editorial team, under the direction of Ben Frow, Channel 5 director of programs.
The international roll out is overseen by Jill Offman, EVP of Comedy Central and Paramount Network International.
In addition to scripted shows, the channel will premiere the U.S. version of Lip Sync Battle (pictured), including the Michael Jackson-themed special. The U.S. version of Paramount Network features such unscripted titles as The Art of Ink, Bar Rescue, and the documentary It Was Him: The Many Murders of Ed Edwards.
“Delivering free-to-air content to millions of UK households, underlines our belief that, despite the growing popularity of on-demand, viewers continue to value highly TV channels that offer an intelligently scheduled linear line up of quality entertainment,” said Offman in a statement.
