Snap Inc. is expanding into the docuseries space with Endless Summer, a series featuring a young couple living in Laguna Beach, California.

Currently in production and expected to premiere in September, the Bunim/Murray-produced series follows the lives of a group of social media stars and trendsetters living in Los Angeles. The docu-drama traces the group of friends led by Summer Mckeen and Dylan Jordan, a young couple chasing their dreams while living on their own for the first time and next door to one another.

Their friends include Olivia Rouyre and McKenzie Luskey, influencers and Mckeen’s best friends; Sam Shryoc, Jordan’s best friend from high school; Sidney Bowen, Jordan’s childhood friend and an aspiring singer/songwriter; Zach Knell, Jordan’s best friend and music producer; and Matthew McFate, Jordan’s friend and an aspiring singer/songwriter/actor.

The new slate of Snapchat docuseries will allow for several new experiences that will provide viewers with the chance to engage with the shows directly on Snapchat. These experiences include being able to Snap into watch parties and after shows to interact with other fans as well as the cast; offering unique Snapchat lenses for Snapchatters, allowing viewers to put themselves into the setting of show and take them to a new episode of the series; incorporating augmented reality portals into the shows, where the viewer can use the Snapchat camera to step into scenes; and much more.

Executive Producers from Bunim/Murray Productions are Gil Goldschein, Julie Pizzi, Farnaz Farjam-Chazan and Andrea Metz. Summer Mckeen, Clayton Santillo and Kyle Santillo will also serve as executive producers. Andrea Metz is also showrunner.

McKeen and Jordan are represented by Scale Management and Ashley Silver of Bloom Hergott.
