Joe Oppenheimer, most recently acting head of BBC Films, is joining Apple’s international content division.

Oppenheimer will be based out of London and will report to Jay Hunt, creative director for Europe.

Hunt, who reports to video heads Jamie Erlicht and Zack Van Amburg, came to the tech giant’s content division from her stint as chief executive at Channel 4 last October.

While behind a variety of scripted projects as a commissioning executive and acting head at BBC Films, Oppenheimer was also an executive producer for such documentary projects as 2011′s Emmy-winning One Life, 2016′s Louis Theroux’s My Scientology Movie and 2017′s Grace Jones: Bloodlight and Bami.

Oppenheimer left BBC Films in December of 2017, after 19 years with the pubcaster.
