Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine is executive producing a YouTube Original Series that will feature superstar artists surprising deserving fans.

Each episode of Sugar, produced by Entertainment One’s Renegade 83 and Levine’s 222 Productions, will follow a famous face from the music world as they surprise some of their biggest and most inspiring fans who have given back to their communities in empowering ways with exclusive pop-up performances.

Special guest talent to appear across the eight-episode season includes Maroon 5; country artist and fellow judge on The Voice, Blake Shelton; hip hop icon Snoop Dogg; singer/songwriter Charlie Puth; pop star Kelly Clarkson; rapper A$AP Ferg; girl group Fifth Harmony and reggaeton artist Bad Bunny.

Alex Van Wagner serves as the director on the series, which was inspired by the Maroon 5 music video “Sugar”, which has had 2.5 billion global views.

David Dobkin, who directed that music video, serves as an executive producer alongside Levine, Jay Renfroe, David Garfinkle, Megan Wolpert Dobkin, Josh Gummersall and Todd Yasui.

“I’m really excited to show everyone this interesting show and experiment that is filled with many different experiences, as well as emotions; based on the concept behind our video for ‘Sugar’,” said Levine in a statement. “I’m extremely grateful and equally excited for all who participated on both sides of the camera.”

Sugar will launch on August 15 across YouTube’s SVOD service YouTube Premium.

YouTube Premium is currently available in the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, Austria, Canada, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Norway, Russia, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom.
