ITV Studios-owned, UK-based factual entertainment label Shiver has appointed former Channel 4 executive Simone Haywood to the newly created role of head of factual entertainment.

Haywood will work with Shiver’s recently appointed group creative director Ana De Moraes and her new development team to create returnable formats.

It is the latest appointment by MD Tim Carter, who according to a release, established the new role to “increase Shiver’s focus on factual entertainment” as he moves to cement “the label’s strategy across each genre.”

Before joining Shiver, Haywood was a commissioning editor at the UK pubcaster Channel 4, commissioning content for digital channel E4 which included Celebs Go Dating, Tattoo Fixers and Too Posh To Parent.

Haywood also commissioned the upcoming reboot Shipwrecked 2018 and The Super Salon, and ordered two series of Body Fixers.

Prior to this, Haywood was an executive producer with Maverick Television, where she both co-created and oversaw the BAFTA award-winning Operation Ouch! for CBBC, as well as My Super Sweet World Class for MTV and Your Style In His Hands for Discovery’s TLC.
