Travel Channel greenlight’s Ghost Hunt Live

Discovery-owned Travel Channel has greenlit an interactive series featuring paranormal investigative team Tennessee Wraith Chasers.

Produced by Tremendous! Entertainment, each weekly episode of Ghost Hunt Live (10 x 60 minutes; w/t) will feature a paranormal investigation in a secret haunted location where audiences will get to watch the action and drive the course of the show.

Through a series of live-streaming social feeds, viewers can help guide the investigation in real time through Travel Channel’s digital and social media platforms.

Ghost Hunt Live is slated to premiere this fall on Travel Channel.

Executive producers for Tremendous! are Colleen Needles Steward, Shannon Keenan Demers, Rob Hammersley and Eddie Delbridge. For Travel Channel, Christine Shuler is executive producers.

Curvy Supermodel heads to the Lithuania

Lithuanian free-to-air network LNK has commissioned a localized version of primetime reality competition Curvy Supermodel (pictured) from Israeli producer-distributor Armoza Formats.

Originally produced by Tresor TV, Curvy Supermodel searches for the face of the future selected out of thousands looking to find a place in the competitive and discriminative modeling industry. An expert jury will mentor them and choose who has what it takes to continue on, with only one contestant winning the title and modeling contract.

A third season of Curvy Supermodel airs today (July 26) on German commercial channel RTL II, while a second season is set premiere on Ukraine’s 1+1 in September.

The Lithuanian revision of Curvy Supermodel, meanwhile, will consist of eight episodes and is set to air this fall on LNK.

BBC Studios Distribution sends Bake Off to Chile

BBC Studios Distribution has inked a deal for Love Productions’ format Bake Off with Turner Latin America for the Chilean market.

Bake Off Chile, known locally as El Gran Pastelero (12 x 75 minutes), will broadcast on Turner-owned free-to-air channel Chilevision and be hosted by model and presenter Carolina de Moras. French chef Yann Ivin and pastry chefs Milena Vallejos and Gustavo Sáez will judge the 18 aspiring bakers vying to win the competition.

The Chilean version of Bake Off is the 30th format deal for the series. Bake Off has seen a recent flurry of new sales deals around the world. In April, the first season of The Great Kiwi Bake Off went into production in New Zealand, produced by Warner Bros International for TVNZ. In June, Alpha TV in Greece acquired the format.

The Love Productions format is now licensed by BBC Studios to 30 countries, including Australia, France, Poland, South Africa and Thailand.
