On tap for this week’s edition of “Renewed and Returning” are new seasons for series from Discovery, WE tv, SBS and Food Network.
Heavy D, Diesel Dave, and the Dieselsellerz crew, known for their crazy online videos and their over-the-top truck builds, are back for a new season of Diesel Brothers on July 30 at 10 p.m. ET/PT, part of Discovery’s ‘Motor Mondays’ line-up.
In the first episode, the team has a new client who asks for the biggest build yet – a monster school bus capable of driving over sand and water. Diesel Brothers is produced for Discovery Channel by Magilla Entertainment.
Elsewhere, a second season of the hour-long weekly series Bossip on WE tv returns to the network on August 2 at 10:00 pm ET/PT.
The series, affiliated with the African-American, pop culture-focused gossip website, brings audiences weekly celebrity gossip and news, with comedic commentary from its contributors.
Also returning for a second season is the culinary competition series The Chefs’ Line on Australian broadcaster SBS on August 6.
Produced by Eureka Productions, The Chefs’ Line will feature new participants and chefs from different backgrounds who will showcase their skills with 10 different cuisines explored over 10 weeks. Each night, one judge will blind taste the dishes, ultimately deciding which is the best plate.
The talents of nine young bakers are put to the test as they enter the Kids Baking Championship, beginning August 6 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Food Network.
Valerie Bertinelli and Duff Goldman return to challenge the skills of the young bakers in difficult dessert trials to see who will rise to the top of the competition. Only one will take the cake and the grand prize of $25,000, a feature in Food Network Magazine, and the title of ‘Kids Baking Champion’.
