Bake Off judge Mary Berry is gearing up to delight viewers with quick fix recipes in a new series for UK pubcaster BBC1.

Produced by Sydney Street Productions, part of Endemol Shine UK, Mary Berry’s Quick Cooking (w/t; 6 x 30 minutes) follows Berry as she explores some of the places that have mastered or inspired speedy cooking. The chef heads abroad to cities like Marrakech, Morocco and Rome, Italy, where she’s never visited before, as well as to places closer to home. Along with her travels, Barry cooks up quick recipes that take no time at all.

Currently in production, Mary Berry’s Quick Cooking follows Berry’s previous four series also produced by Sidney Street: Mary Berry’s Absolute Favourites, Mary Berry’s Foolproof Cooking, Mary Berry Everyday and Classic Mary Berry.

Karen Ross serves as executive producer; Mark Ball as series producer; Dave Crerar as series director, and Alice Binks as event producer.

The series is commissioned by BBC2 controller Charlotte Moore and David Brindley, BBC’s head of commissioning for popular factual and factual entertainment.

Alongside the series, BBC Books will be publishing Mary Berry’s Quick Cooking book, featuring over 100 recipes that can be whipped up in minutes or made ahead and enjoyed later.

Mary Berry’s Quick Cooking is slated to premiere in 2019.
