Propagate Content has secured a partnership with Brazilian production outfit Formata Produções that will see the pair developing and co-producing original content

The deal has already generated its first co-development project in the form of reality competition series Super Bonita, which was acquired by Brazilian broadcaster Globosat for its GNT channel.

Produced by Formata, Super Bonita focuses on the creative process of hair and make-up artists, giving viewers an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the work that goes into creating a fashionable new look.

The 12 x 60-minute series will showcase the contestants as they work under pressure and with limited resources to cut, color, braid, paint, model and create looks the beauty industry has never seen. Each new creation will then be presented to judges on the runway in the final round. Episodes culminate with a winner receiving a prize of professional make-up products.

Super Bonita begins airing today (Aug. 8) on GNT.

“The show has strong digital potential and is visually rich, with competition, tension, emotion and everything else the audience looks for in a reality series,” said Formata CEO Daniela Busoli in a statement.
