Viacom-owned youth net MTV has commissioned Big Fish Entertainment to produce a localized version of the UK series Just Tattoo of Us, based on the MTV International reality competition format.

The American adaptation of the series will tests friends, family members and couples sense of trust with contestants designing tattoos for one another that won’t be revealed until after they are permanently inked. The series will follow the blindfolded duos as they learn the stories behind the tattoo designs on their newly inked bodies.

Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi (Jersey Shore Family Vacation; pictured left) and Nico Tortorella (Younger; right) and will serve as hosts.

Just Tattoo of Us marks the second MTV International-originated format to be localized by MTV in the US, following Ex on the Beach.

Now in its third season and hosted by reality personalities Charlotte Crosby and Scotty T, the original British-produced series first bowed on MTV International channels in April 2017 and is, according to an MTV release, among the top-rated series on MTV Internationally.
