Pilgrim Media Group has signed a production and development deal with veteran game show producers Michael Canter and Jeff Krask.
Under the deal, Canter (pictured left) and Krask (right) will work to develop and produce a number of projects for broadcast, cable and digital platforms, including game show, competition formats and other unscripted content. The first two series stemming from the deal have already found a home at an undisclosed broadcast network, according to a release.
Operating from Pilgrim’s offices in North Hollywood, the duo will work closely alongside the company’s CCO Johnny Gould, and VP and head of development Nicole Silveira.
Canter and Krask have previously executive produced such iconic game shows as Family Feud, The Newlywed Game and Deal or No Deal?, and developed and executive produced ABC’s Child Support and Big Fan; GSN’s 1 vs. 100, Winsanity and Divided; ABC Family’s Spellmageddon; and MTV2′s Hip-Hop Squares, which served as the network’s highest-rated premiere to date.
“Michael and Jeff deliver tremendous expertise in game show development, and a track record of hits across a range of genres,” said Craig Piligian, president and CEO of Pilgrim Media Group, in a statement. “We’re excited to unite our creative efforts and look forward to collaborating on numerous projects in the game and competition space, and beyond.”
