Superstar WWE wrestler and actor John Cena has teamed up with ITV America’s Loud TV on an upcoming prank series for Facebook Watch.

Cena executive produces Double Take under his Hard Nocks South banner. He also stars in the premiere episode, which launches September 5 on the social media giant’s video platform.

Each 12- to 15-minute episode sees celebrity hypnotist and prankster Chris Jones partnering with a celebrity to trick an adoring fan who, under hypnosis, won’t realize they’re interacting with their idol.

Fans will begin each episode meeting with Jones, posing as a producer, who will prepare them for their upcoming meeting with the episode’s celebrity guest. He’ll also coach them through some “rest and relaxation tips,” hypnotizing them so that they unknowingly meet the celebs in everyday scenarios. All the while, Jones will offer direction through an earpiece to ramp up the absurdity of the encounter, which the fan will watch later after being pulled out of hypnosis.

Executive producers include Nick Rigg, David George, Simon Thomas and Adam Dolgins for Loud TV; Ken Schwab for Ken Schwab Media; and David Bullhack.

“Loud is always looking for exciting new avenues into established genres and formats, and Double Take is our opportunity to put a major spin on the celebrity-fan encounter,” said Loud TV president Nick Rigg, in a statement.

The first six episodes of Double Take will feature U.S. Olympic figure skater Adam Rippon, Jackass star Steve-O, The Real Housewives of Atlanta star NeNe Leakes, stand-up comic Gabriel Iglesias and actress Pamela Anderson.

Additional series content will accompany the episodes, including Facebook Live interviews with featured celebs and fans as well as behind-the-scenes footage.
