Veteran development executive Ronak Kordestani has been named president of California-based unscripted production company 3 Ball Entertainment.

Working from the company’s Redondo Beach, California production facility, Kordestani will be responsible for the company’s entire creative slate, which includes both unscripted content for television and digital platforms, and will oversee all development and production.

Prior to joining 3 Ball, Kordestani was head of development at Tremendous! Entertainment. During her two-year tenure there, Kordestani oversaw such series as TLC’s Lost in Transition, Food Network’s Baked and Ridiculous Cakes, and Investigation Discovery’s Kentucky Murder Mystery.

Previously, Kordestani served as head of development at INE Entertainment, where she spearheaded scripted and unscripted programming, and selling series including CBS’s Emmy-nominated Recipe Rehab; the CW’s Hatched; and TLC’s Something Borrowed, Something New and Bride by Design.

Before transitioning to development, Kordestani was VP of business affairs at management and production company The Gotham Group, and began her career as a sales agent with AMG, CAA and UTA.

“In Ronak we have found a uniquely talented and accomplished leader whose illustrious creative and production career is strengthened by her background in law, business and talent management. With her range of expertise and singular vision for unscripted, we are confident Ronak will be a creative force and trailblazer at 3 Ball,” said 3 Ball co-CEOs Ross Weintraub and Todd A. Nelson, and Reinout Oerlemans, chairman of 3 Ball Entertainment, in a joint statement.

3 Ball’s long-running series currently includes Paramount Network’s Bar Rescue and Animal Planet’s My Cat From Hell, with various shows in development, including Pampered Campers for Bravo and others for CBS, Discovery and Paramount.
