In this week’s round-up, we look at unscripted series and documentaries scheduled to debut across PBS’s documentary strand ‘POV’, Travel Channel and Fox.

Discovery-owned network Travel Channel is gearing up for a live paranormal investigation series in which viewers can help drive the course of the series in real time.

Produced by Tremendous! Entertainment, Haunted Live will follow members of the Tennessee Wraith Chasers, a team of paranormal experts, as they reveal a new haunted location to the public in order to capture evidence of paranormal activity in a live and unfiltered paranormal investigation.

Haunted Live premieres Sept. 14 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on Travel Channel and fans can monitor the action via an on-location live video stream across Travel Channel’s Facebook Live platform.

Elsewhere, U.S. broadcaster Fox will look to investigate the crimes of Charles Manson and his gang of blindly loyal followers in a two-hour true crime special.

Narrated by Emmy- and Golden Globe-nominated actor Live Schreiber, Inside The Manson Cult: The Lost Tapes will utilize more than 100 hours of archive to go deep inside Spahn’s Ranch, where the Manson cult lived, to offer insight into how a peace-loving commune turned into America’s most horrifying group of cold-blooded killers. The two-hour film features new and archival interviews with former Manson cult members, including Catherine “Gypsy” Share, Bobby Beausoleil and Dianne “Snake” Lake, as well as key people involved in the case.

The Naked Television-made true crime special debuts Sept. 17 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Fox.

Finally, American public broadcaster PBS will present the television broadcast premiere of Arthur Pratt’s feature-length documentary Survivors (pictured) across its documentary strand ‘POV’ next week.

Co-directed by Banker White, Anna Fitch and Lansana Mansaray, the 90-minute film explores the 2014 Ebola outbreak in Sierra Leone from the perspective of those who lived it. The doc exposes the complexity of the epidemic and reveals the bureaucratic missteps that took place, as well as the intimate stories of individual bravery of those caught in the middle of an unfolding crisis.

A co-production of American Documentary | POV and ITVS, Survivors airs across PBS ‘POV’s 31st season on Sept. 24 at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
