On tap for this week’s edition of ‘Renewed and Returning’ are new seasons of series for HGTV, Smithsonian Channel, Bravo and Paramount Network.
With help from David Bromstad, lucky lottery winners will find and purchase their first pricey homes in a new season of HGTV’s My Lottery Dream Home, premiering Sept. 21 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
Produced by 7 Beyond Productions, the 14-episode season features Bromstad as he travels the country to take his wealthy clients on tours of luxurious properties. From a Texas seaside vacation retreat with gorgeous ocean views to a Long Island estate with exclusive access to a private beach, the series spotlights properties where money is no object.
In the premiere episode, Bromstad meets a Florida family who struck millions on a scratch-off ticket. The couple is looking for a property with a spacious residence with a pool for relaxing and entertaining, while their teenage daughter hopes for enough land to house and ride horses.
Smithsonian Channel’s long-running series Air Disasters, meanwhile, will return with an 11th season on Sept. 30 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
From Cineflix, the 10-episode season of Air Disasters (pictured) looks to uncover the truth behind what went wrong and how to prevent these fatal crashes. The series features exclusive eyewitness accounts, archival footage, dramatic reenactments, CGI and interviews with survivors, family members and air crash investigators who must figure out what caused the disaster. The season premiere will chronicle the tragedy of TWA Flight 800, which triggered the longest and most complex investigation in NTSB history.
Elsewhere, NBCUniversal-owned lifestyle network Bravo Media is returning the 51 Minds-made Below Deck for a new season on Oct. 2 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
Captain Lee and his most trusted chief stewardess, Kate Chastain, are back for another season of above-deck demands and below-deck drama. This season on Below Deck, Captain Lee brings M/Y Seanna to the waters and black sand beaches of Tahiti.
Finally, global multiplatform franchise Lip Sync Battle is returning for a fifth season on Paramount Network in 2019.
The 12 x 30-minute series, produced by Casey Patterson Entertainment and Matador Content, features celebrities battling head-to-head in a lip-sync contest to the song of their choosing. Lip Sync Battle is hosted by two-time Grammy Award-winner LL Cool J and television personality, New York Times Best Selling author, and model Chrissy Teigen.
