Iris Boelhouwer is to leave her post as co-CEO of Endemol Shine Netherlands at the end of October after 13 years at the company.
The co-CEO of the company will transition out of the role in the next month to “focus on personal projects”, with Boudewijn Beusmans (pictured) becoming sole CEO of the Dutch production outfit as of Nov. 1. Beusmans will continue in his role as chairman of Northern Europe for Endemol Shine Group.
In the coming weeks, Boelhouwer will work alongside Beusmans and the rest of the management team to ensure a smooth transition before her departure.
Boelhouwer joined Endemol Shine in 2005 and has co-led Endemol Shine Netherlands over the past three years with Beusmans. During her tenure, she has held a variety of senior positions, including as executive producer and creative director with Endemol in the Netherlands, and then as MD of creative operations globally.
In addition, Boelhouwer has also led the group’s global sustainability initiative, Endemol Shine Giving, which drove the prodco’s pledge to become single-use plastic free.
“Thanks to Iris’ work alongside Boudewijn, Endemol Shine Netherlands is now on a very strong creative footing with a pipeline of exciting new shows with huge international potential from Big Bounce Battle and The Talent Project, and I would like to thank her for her outstanding contribution throughout these years,” said Endemol Shine Group CEO Sophie Turner-Laing. “Going forward, I could not imagine anyone more capable than Boudewijn to lead our Dutch operation through its next stage of growth.”
