A&E Network has ordered 150 new episodes of ride-along policing docuseries Live PD, totaling 450 hours of content.

The deal will extend the series into 2019 and bring the number of episodes commissioned to date up to 293.

It is produced for A&E by MGM-owned Big Fish Entertainment, with Dan Abrams hosting and Tom Morris Jr. and Sgt. Sean ‘Sticks’ Larkin providing analysis.

Executive producers are Dan Cesareo, John Zito and Kara Kurcz for Big Fish, and Elaine Frontain Bryant, Shelly Tatro and Sean Gottlieb for A&E Network.

Big Fish Entertainment was represented in the transaction by Lori York at CAA and Todd Weinstein and Tara Senior at Del Shaw Moonves.

A+E Networks holds worldwide distribution rights for Live PD.

“Since its premiere in October 2016, Live PD has grown by more than 150% in total viewers (L+SD and L+3), with a series high of 2.7 million total viewers on April 7, 2018,” said Fontain Bryant, EVP and head of programming for A&E, in a statement.

Live PD‘s third season premieres tonight (Sept. 21) at 9 p.m. ET/PT. The series airs Friday and Saturday nights at 9 p.m. ET/PT on A&E.
