Manchester-based Shiver North, part of the ITV Studios label, is producing the daytime docuseries Embarrassing Pets for Channel 4.

The 20 x 30-minute series will feature household pets across the nation, along with their owners. Each of the pets has one thing in common: embarrassing behavioral or health issues.

Viewers will follow dog behaviorist Leon Towers, animal behaviorist Caroline Clark and vets Deepti Sharma and Gavin McDonagh at the Embarrassing Pets practice in Cheshire. There, the experts will meet with a variety of owners looking to help their pets and share their stories, and they’ll help fix problems while offering honest, sometimes funny views on each pet.

“From pungent pugs to diva ducks, angry alpacas to petulant parrots, no case is off limits at the practice,” according to a press release.

Sally Evans serves as executive producer for Shiver. Tim Hancock is commissioning editor, daytime and features at Channel 4. Lizzie Gill is series producer, and Steve McConville is series director.
