Keshet Int’l secures five series deal for Rising Star
Global content producer and distributor Keshet International has secured a five series order for its talent show format Rising Star (pictured) from Sri Lanka.
A total of 52 localized 90-minute episodes of the interactive singing competition will air on Asia Broadcasting Corporation-owned channel Hiru TV.
Created and produced by Tedy Productions and Keshet Broadcasting, the format launched in 2013 and was a fast seller but its international performance has been mixed. More than 250 episodes have been produced in Brazil and successful seasons have aired in Portugal and Argentina.
The series has now sold in more than 35 territories worldwide, including India (Colours TV), Brazil (Globo), Indonesia (RCT1), China (CCTV), and Greece (Antenna).
