SoulPancake, the Participant Media-owned media and entertainment company founded by Rainn Wilson, has partnered with Indiegogo to launch a six-part series championing female entrepreneurs.

Each episode of Funded in America, hosted by television personality and actor La La Anthony (pictured), spotlights women across America who are changing the face of business.

The series aims to celebrate the ingenuity and innovation of women, and is inspired by the 47% of successful Indiegogo campaigns that are run by women. Profiled in Funded in America are six women who turned to Indiegogo to launch their businesses rather than seeking loans or venture capital funding.

Featured across the six weeks are Fatimah Hussein and Jamie Glover, founders of sport hijab company ASIYA; Regina Vatterott, co-founder of EllieGrid, a lifestyle accessory that connects to your phone to ensure you stay on track with your pills; Antonia Saint Dunbar, founder of customizable shoe company Hi-Tech Heels; Alissa Chavez, creator of life-saving alarm system The Hot Seat; Yasmine Mustafa, founder of wearable button Athena, which emits an alarm and sends text messages with your location when pressed; and Dana Frasz, creator of Food Shift, which uses cosmetically imperfect produce to create meals for food banks and shelters.

Funded in America will be distributed on SoulPancake Facebook and YouTube channels beginning today (Oct. 2).
