Streaming giant Netflix has set a November release date for Medal of Honor, the forthcoming docuseries from Academy Award-winning executive producer Robert Zemeckis and Oscar-winning director James Moll.

Produced by Allentown Productions and Compari Entertainment, the eight-part series will use both archival footage and live-action recreations to portray stories of personal sacrifice and celebrate eight recipients of the military’s highest award for valor.

The anthology series will feature the stories of family members and brothers-in-arms to depict the extraordinary odds and challenges faced by the servicemen. Episodes will focus on the tales of World War II veterans Sylvester Antolak, Edward Carter and Vito Bertoldo; Korean War soldiers Hiroshi “Hershey” Miyamura and Joseph Vittori; Vietnam vet Richard L. Etchberger; and Afghanistan troupers Clint Romesha and Ty M. Carter.

Medal of Honor is exec produced by Moll, Zemeckis, Jake Rapke, Jacqueline Levine and Brandon Birtell.
