A&E Network is prepping an upcoming docuseries featuring ex-members of the secretive North Carolina-based World of Faith Fellowship Church as they reveal the abuse they allegedly endured at the hands of the church.

Produced by Los Angeles-based Collins Avenue, The Devil Next Door is a six-part series that chronicles the efforts of ex-members as they work tirelessly to shed light on the injustices conducted behind closed doors.

The series also follows former members as they attempt to convince loved ones still belonging to the religion to leave by banding together through community outreach forums, enlisting the help of the local media and working alongside the federal government.

Former members have told the press of allegations of physical and mental child abuse, forced labor, intimidation and separation of children from their parents – allegations all denied by the Word of Faith Fellowship Church. Led by 77-year-old Jane Whaley, the church was founded in 1979 and currently has additional churches in Ghana and Brazil.

Jeff Collins, Lindsay Schwartz, Michael Hammond and Francis Gasparini serve as executive producers for Collins Avenue. Elaine Frontain Bryant, Amy Savitsky, Marcie Hume and David Doss serve as executive producers for A&E Network.

A+E Networks holds worldwide distribution rights for the series.

The Devil Next Door premieres Nov. 27 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on A&E.
