A+E Networks has promoted industry veteran Heather Jones to SVP of content and creative across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

In her expanded post, Jones will provide strategic and management support across A+E Networks EMEA operations. She will oversee content and creative strategy in all EMEA territories, including acquisitions, commissions, marketing, branding, digital, creative and communications. She reports into Dean Possenniskie, managing director of EMEA.

In addition, Jones will continue acting as general manager for A+E Networks UK.

Furthermore, Jones will be the main EMEA partner to all A+E Networks International channels regarding new shows and formats that stem from the UK. Jones will also develop and launch international events and co-productions.

Jones was appointed GM for A+E Networks UK and SVP of content and creative in 2015, after joining the company as VP of programming in 2013.

Prior to joining A+E Networks UK, Jones held senior positions at North One Television, MTV Networks Europe, All3Media, Paramount Comedy and Flextech Television.
