Tinopolis Group-owned Mentorn Media has named former Leopard USA executive Simon McKeown as its head of unscripted.

In the newly created role, McKeown is responsible for growing the London- and Glasgow-based production outfit’s content slate, with a focus on returnable fact-ent and entertainment titles for the UK and U.S. marketplace.

McKeown now relocates back to London after four years in the U.S. Most recently, he held a near-three-year tenure at the New York-based Leopard USA, where he was appointed as the company’s first chief creative officer in 2016. During his tenure there, he served as executive producer for such series as HGTV’s House Hunters International and DIY’s Big Beach Builds, while also developing Facebook’s The Mission and working across Travel Channel’s True Hawaii and Food Network’s Food Mafia.

Prior to Argonon-owned Leopard, McKeown was SVP of development for Love and Hip Hop prodco Eastern. There he was responsible for such hits as Lifetime’s Bringing Up Ballers and WEtv’s Money, Power, Respect.

McKeown previously held senior development roles at Jane Root‘s Nutopia and with The Great British Bake Off creator Love Productions.

Mentorn’s current factual production slate includes Channel 5′s Traffic Cops and BBC1′s flagship current affairs show Question Time.
