Canadian pubcaster CBC’s previously announced From the Vaults is set to premiere Nov. 15.

Hosted by Amanda Parris (pictured, left) and Tom Power (right), From the Vaults is a six part series that spans 60 years of Canadian music history, making use of the CBC’s archives to unearth important musical performances, including Sammy Davis Jr.’s first-ever solo TV special, Shania Twain performing at 14 and Leonard Cohen’s TV debut in 1966.

The series will feature rare historic performances and interviews with musicians including The Guess Who, Celine Dion, Buffy Sainte Marie, K.D. Lang, Paul Anka, Bryan Adams, and more, culled from past CBC shows including Adrienne Clarkson Presents, Let’s Go, Nightcap, Parade, Pilot One, Take 30, Talent Caravan, The Tommy Hunter Show and The Wayne & Shuster Hour.

It is produced by Toronto’s music-focused prodco Banger Films for CBC, with executive producers Sam Dunn and Scot McFadyen, and creative producer Ralph Chapman.

From the Vaults premieres Nov. 15 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on CBC, the CBC streaming app and CBC.ca.

A special advance screening will take place at the Hot Docs Theatre in Toronto on Nov. 14 at 7 p.m. ET.
