Singer, TV personality and former *NSYNC baritone Joey Fatone has been tapped to host the knowledge-based game show Common Knowledge, premiering in January on the Game Show Network (GSN).

The half-hour series asks contestants to answer simple, everyday questions like, “What should you do when you have a fever?” or “How can you tell if a watermelon is ripe?” Two teams of three square off to answer multiple choice questions for the chance to win US$10,000 in a bonus round.

Fatone has been a mainstay of reality TV since his *NSYNC days, having competed on Dancing With the Stars and served as host on Family Feud, the Australian version of The Singing Bee, which aired on NBC in the U.S., the Food Network’s Rewrapped and Live Well Network’s My Family Recipe Rocks, and as co-host of The Price Is Right Live! at Bally’s Las Vegas.

Common Knowledge is produced by Game Show Enterprises for GSN. Tim Puntillo and Adam Zuvich serve as executive producers.

It premieres Jan. 14 at 5:30 p.m. ET on GSN and will air Monday through Friday.
