Critical Content executive Brad Carr has joined Endemol Shine North America as SVP of production.
With the posting, Carr will lead the day-to-day production efforts for the culinary smash hit MasterChef and its youth-focused spin-off MasterChef Junior, as well as ABC’s forthcoming Family Food Fight. He will additionally manage other Endemol Shine series in development.
He reports to Endemol Shine North America’s Rob Day, EVP of production.
Previously, Carr was SVP of production at Critical Content from 2010 to 2018. During his eight years there, Carr oversaw more than 40 television and digital productions, including Fox’s Home Free, Food Network’s Trisha’s Southern Kitchen, A&E’s The Lowe Files, Travel Channel’s Caribbean Pirate Treasure, MTV’s Catfish: The TV Show and HGTV’s Welcome Back Potter.
Prior to joining Critical, Carr was a line producer on ABC’s Wipeout and Oxygen’s Coolio’s Rules, and was a production manager on CBS’s Kid Nation, ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition and Bravo’s Hey Paula.
“Brad brings with him a tremendous amount of experience and he’s someone I’ve worked with many times in my career and have a lot of trust in,” said Day in a statement. “He’s already stepped right in and [is] helping us keep our many shows on track.”
