SallyAnn Salsano, founder, executive producer and CEO of unscripted powerhouse prodco 495 Productions, will be inducted into the Realscreen Awards Hall of Fame on Tuesday, January 29, during the Realscreen Summit in New Orleans.

The Los Angeles-based Salsano founded 495 Productions in 2007 and is the creative force behind all of the company’s series. Among the iconic unscripted series she has created are Jersey Shore, MTV’s highest-rated series to date, and the most recent, record-breaking addition to the Shore franchise, MTV’s Jersey Shore Family Vacation. She is also the creative dynamo behind such series as Party Down South, CMT’s highest-rated series to date, and VH1′s hit series Martha & Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party.

The diverse range of her production slate has included daytime talk (Fox’s The Real), competition series (Design Star for HGTV, Dance Your Ass Off for Oxygen) and culinary content with a twist (The Untitled Action Bronson Show for Viceland). She has had series on a wide range of cable and broadcast networks, from Bravo to WE tv and most points between.

FremantleMedia North America acquired a majority stake in 495 Productions in 2014, with Salsano remaining at the helm.

Salsano began her career in New York City, serving as an intern for The Howard Stern Show and The Sally Jesse Raphael Show, working her way up to producer after five years with the latter. Heading to Los Angeles, before setting up her own prodco she continued to build her reputation as a showrunner for such series as ABC’s The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, Trista and Ryan’s Wedding, and Extreme Makeover: Wedding Edition; as well as Fox’s Surprise Weddings.

“SallyAnn is one of the most passionate, prolific and persistent producers in the unscripted world, and we are delighted to recognize her contribution to the genre,” said Claire Macdonald, VP, publisher, realscreen. “She is the creative force behind dozens of the grittiest and most entertaining shows on the air over the last decade or so, and her induction into the Realscreen Hall of Fame recognizes her talent and body of work.”

Past producer inductees into the Realscreen Awards Hall of Fame have included Brent Montgomery, Craig Piligian, Stephen Lambert, Bertram van Munster, Thom Beers, Jonathan Murray and Mark Burnett.

The Realscreen Awards ceremony will take place at the Sheraton New Orleans. For more information on the Realscreen Awards, click here.
