Content and agency representation company Endeavor has appointed Mark Shapiro president.

Shapiro (pictured) has been CCO of Endeavor-owned global sports, entertainment and talent management company IMG since 2014. The role saw him unifying IMG’s fashion business, which includes IMG Models, The Wall Group, Art+Commerce, LENS, IMG Focus and numerous global fashion events; supporting a U.S. media rights deal with ESPN for the UFC; developing new formats for IMG’s events portfolio, including the upcoming debut of Frieze LA; and enhancing the company’s Endeavor Global Marketing business with key acquisitions across public relations, experiential and advertising.

Before joining Endeavor, he was CEO of Dick Clark Productions and before that, director, president and CEO of Six Flags Entertainment Corporation. He began his career at ESPN, where he oversaw production and programming and led the creation of various sports and entertainment properties.

Shapiro currently serves on the board of directors of four public companies: Live Nation Entertainment, Frontier Communications, Papa John’s International, and Equity Residential.

“The past four years have marked Endeavor’s most pivotal stage of growth, and Mark has played a critical role in getting us to where we are today,” said Ariel Emanuel, co-CEO of Endeavor, in a statement. “Mark’s leadership, creativity and drive will help [co-CEO] Patrick [Whitesell] and me as we continue to scale Endeavor and realize its full potential.”
