The deadline to enter submissions for Realscreen Summit’s standing room only, live pitch competition, the Summit Showdown is rapidly approaching.

At the Summit Showdown, taking place on Monday, January 28 during the Realscreen Summit in New Orleans, producers and content creators vie for the opportunity to pitch a new, not yet commissioned unscripted or non-fiction one-off program or series.

This year, the Showdown’s supporting network partners will be A&E and WE tv, who will each provide one US$20,000 development deal to a winning project for their network. One winner for each network will be crowned at the live pitch competition.

The 2019 Summit Showdown is presented in partnership with West One Music Group, who will provide the Grand Prize winners of the competition with an exclusive custom theme song and blanket library package for their show. In addition to creating the title track for the pilot, West One will provide music direction and full access to their award-winning library of more than 50,000 tracks.

In addition to the entry form, entrants must submit a signed submission release form, a three-minute video sizzle reel or pitch and a one-page paper pitch. Before submitting, entrants must also read the creative brief for the network they want their projects to be considered for. Both briefs can be found here.

Entrants into the Summit Showdown must also be registered for Realscreen Summit 2019 to enter. Deadline for entries is Friday, December 14, 2018.
