The first installment for 2019 of Jimmy Fox’s Unscripted and Unprepared podcast, presented in partnership with Realscreen, features a candid conversation with the host himself, conducted by Matt Shanfield of The Intellectual Property Corporation.

As founder & president of Main Event Media, a production company within the All3Media global family, Fox is the executive producer and co-creator of CNN’s Emmy-winning series United Shades of America with W. Kamau Bell. He has worked with the likes of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Bear Grylls, Martin Sheen, Sofia Vergara, Dog the Bounty Hunter, and the “Mob Wives” among other celebrities.

In this wide-ranging interview, Fox recounts stories from his varied work life, beginning with his time as a small-town radio host at the age of 16, moving into gigs as a stunt football player in TV and film and a treadmill salesman, and the positions that put him on the path to his production career, which has encompassed such unscripted series as King of the Nerds, Fashion Star and Mob Wives, all the way to such current successes as CNN’s United Shades of America with W. Kamau Bell and Amazon’s recently premiered Inside Jokes.

The new episode is now available via iTunes, Stitcher, Google Play and Spotify.

Past episodes of Unscripted and Unprepared, a series of conversations with the most influential players in the unscripted television industry, have featured Arthur Smith; Brent Montgomery, Bob Boden, Jonathan Murray, Thom Beers, Epix’s Rachel Brill, History’s Eli Lehrer, Propagate Content’s Ben Silverman, ID’s Jane Latman, ITV America’s David Eilenberg, and Showtime’s Vinnie Malhotra, among many others.
