Former Endemol Shine executives Mauricio Piccone and Sergio Lazarov have founded boutique prodco Studio Pacifico, with a slate that includes unscripted content.
Piccone (pictured, left) was previously executive VP of Endemol Shine Latino. Lazarov (left), an EP, showrunner and director, was VP of production at Endemol Shine Latino.
Both co-founders have produced for clients including Netflix ,Telemundo, Univision, Televisa, Azteca, Sony and Turner, with combined credits including Big Brother, MasterChef, Mira Quien Baila, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, Que Viva: The Chosen One with Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony, Todo o Nada and Fear Factor.
Original non-fiction projects already lined up at Studio Pacifico include Coloring the world by OKUDA, a docuseries about the life and works of Spanish artist Okuda San Miguel; Models and Rock, a reality show combining alternative models and rock and roll; The Nap, a “Hunger Games-style” reality competition series; and Miami Vibes, a celebrity interview show hosted by Colate.
