Amazon Prime Video has hired Dan Grabiner as a commissioner for its UK arm, the streaming giant confirmed to realscreen.

Grabiner (pictured) is currently head of development for television production at London-based prodco ITN Productions.

He has worked on a variety of non-fiction programs at ITV, including EasyJet: Inside the Cockpit, and had recently been working on ITN’s slate of projects for Amazon’s Audible podcast service.

Amazon’s European originals team is headed up by Georgia Brown.

Amazon did not confirm when Grabiner would begin or provide details on his new duties, and Grabiner declined to comment on his appointment.

The news of Grabiner’s appointment was first reported by TBI Vision yesterday (Jan. 17).
