Discovery-owned cable net TLC is set to premiere a new wedding special in which a struggling bride enlists the help of four drag queens to make her dream wedding a reality.

In Drag Me Down the Aisle, Emily is newly engaged and madly in love, but anxieties around body image are making it hard to find her dream dress, and a tight budget is forcing a lot of compromise. BeBe Zahara Benet, Thorgy Thor, Jujubee and Alexis Michelle step in as her personal team of drag queen wedding experts who will try to save the day in three weeks, despite fears of Emily’s conservative parents’ reactions.

Drag Me Down the Aisle is produced for TLC by Alkemy X.

“TLC is the home of weddings and we are always looking for new ways to expand in the space that will appeal to a broader audience, beyond the bride-to-be,” said Howard Lee, president and GM for TLC, in a statement. “Drag me Down the Aisle hits the mark. The show is outrageous, loud and full of surprises, all while offering viewers an inspirational journey that ends in a heartwarming transformation.”

The series premieres March 9 at 9 p.m. ET/PT, following TLC’s marquee wedding series Say Yes to the Dress.
