London-based prodco ITN Productions has appointed former BBC Studios exec Georgina Madley as head of development.

Madley (pictured) joins from BBC Studios where she most recently served as head of development for unscripted productions since May 2018.

Prior to her post at the BBC, Madley held head of development positions at Alaska TV and Blast! Films. Additionally, she served as a development producer for factual-focused studio Blakeway North where she helped develop various series and one-offs, including Bargain Loving Brits in the Sun for Channel 5; My Online Nightmare and My Baggy Body for Channel 4; and EDL Girls: Don’t Call Me Racist for BBC3.

“Georgina has a great track record in popular factual, topical programs and developing interesting format ideas and will no doubt play a key role in creating exciting new opportunities for us, in the UK and overseas,” said Ian Ramsey, ITN Productions director of TV production, in a statement.

Elsewhere, ITN Productions has elevated Grace Dean to head of short form. She most recently served as senior producer of entertainment and short form.

Before joining British producer, Dean worked at the Olympic Broadcasting Services and the BBC.

ITN Productions is expanding its short form footprint and is producing a variety of content for BBC Ideas, FYI Daily for ITV and Access for Channel 5.
