Amsterdam-based global content creator and TV channel Insight TV has appointed Mark Romano to the role of vice president for the Americas.
In his new role, Romano (pictured) will lead North American multi-platform expansion efforts and is responsible for managing and negotiating the distribution of Insight TV across all platforms, including MVPDs and OTT, in North America.
He is based in Insight TV’s New York office, where he reports to CCO Graeme Stanley.
Romano previously held senior distribution executive roles with ONE World Sports, Outdoor Channel and Rainbow Media. Most recently, he was VP of strategic accounts at Captivate, LLC.
“Mark has an incredible track record of building linear, VOD, SVOD and customized platforms for both start-up and established platforms,” said Stanley in a statement. “He joins us at a pivotal time in our growth and evolution. Insight TV’s linear 4K UHD service is currently available in the U.S. on RCN and Layer 3, while its streaming service is available on Samsung TV Plus; on mobile devices via Android, iPad and iPhone; and on PCs and laptops via Insight.TV in 28 countries.
