CNN-owned HLN will premiere the true crime series Very Scary People, hosted by actor and New Kids on the Block singer Donnie Wahlberg, later this month.

The 6 x 120-minute HLN Original Series revisits some of the most notorious murder cases in recent history.

Each episode will touch on one case or murderer. Subjects, in the order they will air, include John Wayne Gacy, Charles Manson, the NorCal Rapist, Aileen Wuornos, the Zodiac Killer and Jim Jones.

Nancy Duffy, VP of program development for CNN, serves as executive producer.

Very Scary People premieres March 17 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on HLN.

The series premiere will be available on demand March 8, ahead of its linear debut, to subscribers via cable and satellite systems, CNNgo platforms and CNN mobile apps. The other five episodes will be available on demand the day after their broadcasts.
