TCB Media Rights, The Televators pen deal
London-based rights-ownership and distributor TCB Media Rights has inked a deal with production-support consultancy The Televators.
Under the terms of the agreement, The Televators will provide operational and budgeting support for TCB’s slate of fully-funded, in-house commissions. Furthermore, the deal provides the British distributor with flexible operational infrastructure, which will enable TCB to “manage commissions more efficiently and cost effectively, whilst providing delivery assurance to channels and ensuring that budgets are met.” The Televators will work closely with TCB commissioning editor Hannah Demidowicz.
Co-founded by Kirstie McLure (pictured) and Nikki Tilley, former execs at UK factual Pioneer Productions, The Televators provides interim and budgetary support, operational staff recruitment, and financial and business-affairs services to a variety of clients facing different challenges, from individuals with an original idea to demanding broadcast clients.
“The Televators provide us with the last piece of the commissioning jigsaw, just as any broadcaster has an in house production management team we must also have this function to ensure we provide a duty of care to our clients and our production partners,” said Demidowicz in a statement. “With the help of Kirstie, Nikki and their team, TCB now has the talent and resources to take its commissioning activities to the next level.”
