Kimmelot, Jimmy Kimmel’s newly minted media company, and Wheelhouse Group CEO Brent Montgomery have inked an unscripted production deal with ITV America.

The deal sees ITV America become the exclusive producer of Kimmelot’s unscripted content, which includes the first series to emerge from the Kimmelot banner, Comedy Central’s Crank Yankers (20 x 30 minutes). The rebooted half-hour series celebrates the profane puppets as they prank on phones, social media, e-sport platforms and other venues where they can raise mayhem.

Jonathan Kimmel serves as showrunner and executive producer, alongside executive producers and creators Kimmel, Adam Carolla and Daniel Kellison. ITV America’s David George also serves as executive producer.

The deal was negotiated by ITV America’s Danielle Bibbo, EVP of business development & strategy, and Tonko Soljan, SVP of business affairs.

Before establishing his own media co Wheelhouse Group in 2018, Montgomery was CEO of ITV America. In November 2018, it was announced that Kimmel and Montgomery were joining forces to set-up Kimmelot, a “creative lab” operating across unscripted, scripted, mobile and digital spaces. Based out of Los Angeles, Kimmelot operates under Montgomery’s Wheelhouse outfit. Veteran CAA agent Scott Lonker recently joined Kimmelot as president this past February.

“We can’t wait to get moving with Jimmy, Scott Lonker and the whole Kimmelot team,” said ITV America’s George in a statement. “ITV America is thrilled to be on board for Crank Yankers, and with a lot of other projects in the works, it’s just the beginning of what we hope to be a long, prank-filled relationship.”
