Lucas Bertrand launches IP management company

Digital-media and VOD specialist Lucas Bertrand (pictured) has launched Looper Insights, which provides software-as-a-service (SaaS) technology to film and TV rights-owners and VOD stores, allowing them to take control of their IP assets.

Looper Insights’ proprietary technology allows IP owners to see, manage and optimize their titles, enabling the management of availability, pricing, packaging and placement in each market and across each store.

Additionally, it allows companies to track and optimize merchandising and artwork, drive social media ROI and make distribution, pricing and marketing decisions based on observable sales trends analysed with advanced AI and machine-learning tools.

WE tv renews distribution deal with Off The Fence

Character-driven unscripted channel WE tv has renewed its exclusive distribution agreement with global unscripted distributor Off the Fence.

Under the agreement, Off the Fence will distribute more than 1,200 hours of all media content internationally and over 2,000 hours of second window linear television domestically.

WE tv’s slate of original programming includes Love After Lockup (33 x 60 minutes), Growing Up Hip Hop (50 x 60 minutes) and Growing Up Hip Hop Atlanta (28 x 60 minutes).

The details of the deal were not revealed.

Complex Networks launches AVOD channel on Pluto TV

Brand-centric millennial and Gen Z skewing prodco Complex Networks’ collection of short-form digital content will now be available on the Viacom- and Hearts-owned ad-supported streaming service Pluto TV.

Complex will have its own 24/7 channel on Pluto TV as part of the deal, featuring shows including Sneaker Shopping, Everyday Struggle, Complex News, and The Burger Show.

Additionally, Complex Networks has licensed a number of its shows to Netflix and Hulu, and the company has licensing deals with cable networks Fuse and MSG and a partnership with iFlix.

BitMovio, Endemol Shine partner on gamified content

Gamified video entertainment marketplace Bitmovio is partnering with Endemol Shine International to bring 600-plus hours of the global distributor’s content onto its platform.

Titles coming to BitMovio include Total Wipeout UK, Charm School, Flavor of Love, For the Love of Ray J, Rock of Love, Surreal Life and The Almost Impossible Game Show UK.

The deal follows BitMovio’s acquisitions of content from 1200 Productions, Arrowstorm Entertainment, Black Apple Talent, Elation Media, Fourth Media, Frank Horror, Gross Film, Horror House, ImAirTV, Invictus Entertainment Group, Magic Square Films, Small Basket Studios, Mill Creek Entertainment and the World Poker Tour in the last few months.
