FOCAL International has unveiled its first round of nominees for the upcoming FOCAL Footage Awards, recognizing the best use of footage and archive across several categories.

Among the nominees are Netflix’s Shirkers (pictured) and the Peter Jackson-produced They Shall Not Grow OldApollo 11 and Mr. SOUL! took two and three nominations, respectively.

Additionally, Julien Temple will be feted with the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Further nominees for restoration and preservation awards and the Jane Mercer Researcher of the Year Award will be revealed May 15.

The 2019 FOCAL Awards will be held on June 20 at the Troxy in London. The ceremony will be hosted by comedian Zoe Lyons.
