Thomas Lasarzik upped at ProSiebenSat.1
Thomas Lasarzik has been promoted to executive vice president of group content acquisitions and sales at ProSiebenSat.1 Television Deutschland.
The new role will see him taking responsibility for the negotiation and acquisition of all licensed content, including films and TV series for the group’s channels and platforms. He reports to Henrik Pabst, chief commercial officer of entertainment.
Lasarzik joined ProSiebenSat.1 in 1993, where he was most recently SVP of group content acquisitions and sales.
MotorTrend launches Buck’s Under Pressure
Discovery’s MotorTrend app has tuned up with the launch of short-form series Under Pressure: 9K from Toronto’s Buck Productions.
The short series focuses on the import vehicle customization and performance work of Joey Grande and Felicia Bang’s Southern California-based car shop, 9K Racing. The series provides intimate insight into the culture of import car tuning, all while featuring the 9K Racing team as they push boundaries of aftermarket performance.
The entirety of season one, along with episode extras, is now available via the MotorTrend app.
ABC Commercial sends The Street Vet to Scandinavia, Central and Eastern Europe
The Australian pubcaster ABC’s commercial arm has inked a deal with international media company Viasat World to bring their factual entertainment series The Street Vet to Scandinavia and Central and Eastern Europe.
The Street Vet (12 x 30 minutes; pictured) will air exclusively on Viasat World’s pay-TV network Viasat Nature in 38 countries across the region starting in August.
The series follows veterinary doctor Kwane Stewart and his assistant Genesis as they treat the pets of homeless people across different levels of financial hardship.
It is a co-production between Blizzard Road Productions and Vizion House Productions
