UK pubcaster Channel 4 has commissioned two new unscripted series: Pants on Fire (w/t) and Britain’s Best Parent? (w/t).

Pants on Fire (9 x 60 minutes) follows emerging comedians facing off in bluffing competitions in an attempt to impress a panel of celebrity judges.

The series is hosted by Emma Willis.

Pants on Fire is a Fulwell 73 production, with Gabe Turner, Andy Price and Leo Pearlman serving as executive producers. Sarah Pack is series producer and Toby Baker is series director. The series was ordered for E4, Channel 4′s entertainment channel, by Steven Handley, commissioning editor of entertainment, and Karl Warner, controller of E4.

Meanwhile, Britain’s Best Parent? (5 x 60 minutes) follows people who think they’ve mastered parenting and have a few lessons to impart. A studio audience, representative of the nation, and judge will select the best parents, with three sets of parents competing.

The fifth and final episode will feature the winning parents competing with each other for the ultimate title of Britain’s Best Parent.

NBCUniversal International Studios’ Monkey Kingdom is producing for C4. It was commissioned by Vivienne Molokwu, commissioning editor for formats and features at C4. Executive producers are William Macdonald and Jess Orr.
